    Overview
The Six Thinking Hats concept was created in the early 1980’s by Edward de Bono. The concept is a framework for thinking that fosters focused thinking from a number of different perspectives. This is accomplished by allowing students (and teachers), to expand their way of thinking about a topic by wearing a number of different Thinking Hats [3]. The hats comprise of six different colours which are white, red, yellow, blue, black and green. De Bono (1999) used colours for each hat as opposed to “ingenious Greek names” [4] when he created them so that people could imagine and visualize them as real hats.
